are great for storing live food. The food does not drip onto the
heating unit like some dehydrators. The thermostat
can be adjusted so that the LIVE enzymes are not
killed by heat higher than 107 F. The unit comes
with tray liners that are porous and dishwasher
safe. We like the FREE Teflex™ liners that allow us
to make fruit rollups or fruit leathers. Meat
eaters will love the Excalibur for making jerky.
Marilyn and I make our
own potato chips, trail mix, soup ingredients, dried
herbs, crackers, and natural candy. Dried fruits
and vegetables can be stored for months in air tight
containers. It's a better alternative than
