| Storm Report |
This is a picture of the damage done by the tornado on Tuesday night, February 5, 2008 to Union University, the Baptist college here in our city of Jackson, TN. Miraculously no lives were lost although some students had to be extricated from the rubble. 1000 cars were destroyed or badly damaged and most of the student housing was destroyed or badly damaged. Two brand new four story academic buildings were badly damaged in the storm. Union has 1700 students from almost every state and over 30 foreign countries. Most have gone home to their parents or are being housed by Jacksonians until alternate housing can be arranged.
Marilyn and I ask for your prayers for the students and faculty of this great university and for your support for rebuilding it. Many other buildings and homes in our city were destroyed or badly damaged. We are truly in tornado alley. Since 1999 we have experienced four major tornados, in fact this last one was five an one half years apart from another one that struck the exact same place on Union's campus, but this time with 10 times the damage.

| Worshiping Idols of Medicine |
 Billions of dollars are spent on finding a pill that will cure cancer. The Bible has a very similar parallel when we study the history of the Jewish temple in the book of Ezekiel. In my book, Winning the Battle for the Body, the chapter on Old Testament Parallels reveals a striking resemblance between the high esteem we give to toxic medicines in our body temples, and the Israelites love of idols in the temple of Jehovah.
The scripture from Ezekiel 8 we find that the prophet Ezekiel was shown a vision of the desecration of the temple.
"He said to me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz."
According to Matthew Henry's commentary on this chapter, Tammuz, one of the idols of the Assyrians, was mourned because he died. Thus, this passage shows that one of the four sins of the desecrated temple was an idol of death. Matthew Henry says "An abominable thing indeed that any should choose rather to serve an idol in tears than to serve the true God with joyfulness and gladness of heart!"
I submit to you that when we opt to trust in toxic medicine to cure cancer, to trust in ill-trained medical doctors to restore our body temples, to trust in surgery to cure our desecrated bodies, that we are in effect worshiping an idol of death.
How dare I condemn the medical industry that is fighting daily to heal us? I dare to because I care about the Christians that are caught up in this wrong cause. The motivation that caused doctors to go into medicine is honorable and a worthy endeavor, but they have been brain-washed into blind pursuit of healing without addressing the cause of the disease. They have not been trained to address the cause, but only the effect. Watch the DVD that Marilyn and I watched and you too will understand the reason that we call for a revival of medical practice back to true healing, addressing the causes of disease and sacrificing their lucrative practices for a return to honorable healing, God's way.
Medical doctors, I beg you to forsake the idol of medicines and learn how to address the cause of cancer and other major illness. Learn how to use nutritional therapy with your patients. True, you won't make as much money, but you will truly be helping someone to a longer and stronger life of service to the Lord.

| Real Quackery |
 When you put "Hallelujah Diet" into the Google search window you invariably get a list of web sites that tell about the diet. But you also get a web site called "Quack Watch" that proceeds to criticize the Hallelujah Diet as being quackery. I submit that the doctor that writes on that web site is the real quack. Because he automatically assumes that anecdotal evidence is untrustworthy and that long term cultural studies such as The China Study are not as strong as "double blind" studies, he condemns the diet as "quackery". Quackery is investigated in the new DVD, Healing Cancer from Inside Out", and it unmasks conventional medicine as the real quackery. Why? Because it is dangerous and destructive to the only hope we have for healing--the immune system--and does not address the real cause of disease.
