This testimony is amazing! Our students, Roger and Rose Ann Brauss
have been faithful to our classes and support meetings for over two years.
They have also been to Hallelujah Acres and the Lifestyle Center. Rose Ann
shares this
testimony. She said: I was diagnosed with
an autoimmune disease (Primary Biliary Cirrhosis) in 2002. It was in the 3rd
stage. The next step would be a liver transplant. A few months later I
learned about the Hallelujah Diet and completely changed my diet at that
time. The improvements to my health are as follows:
Stopped taking blood pressure medicine. It
is now 120/70 or less. Stopped taking cholesterol medication. My total
cholesterol went from 236 to 176 mg/dl. I lost 20 lbs. No more dry eye
syndrome. In the past four years, I have not been ill - no colds, flu,
headaches, sore throat, etc. My blood tests for Primary Biliary Cirrhosis
improved each year until today it is NORMAL. I am active every day walking
2-4 miles and weight lifting on alternate days. I encourage everyone to
give it a try.
Rose Ann's disciplined lifestyle, faith, and
perseverance have allowed her miraculous self healing body to heal itself of
this fatal disease. Won't you try The Hallelujah Diet & Lifestyle to help your
body to restore itself God's way? We are here to help you. Call us at
877-200-0862 or locally at 731-423-5313. |
| Spotlight On Grapes and Raisins |
|
Grapes are a favorite at our house. We keep them on hand
unless there are no grapes available in our grocery store. Grapes
are a Biblical fruit and the grapevine is the source of
the analogy the Lord Jesus used in showing how we are saved
for service. "I am the Vine, ye are the branches," He said. We can
bear much fruit if we are in Him, the scripture says.
Of course, the grape is one of the most
delicious of all fruits, in my opinion. It is beautiful,
inviting, and sweet, and full of great
nutrition. Grapes are full of polyphenols, plant
compounds that act as antioxidants and can
protect you from heart disease and cancer. Grapes
have fiber, vitamins, and important minerals like
potassium, calcium, manganese, and
iron.
The skin of
grapes is very beneficial, so
don't peel your grapes. The skin contains
resveratrol, a type of plant estrogen, also called a
phytoestrogen. Resveratrol fights inflammation and prevents blood
clots. The skin of red grapes contain the
powerful flavonoid quercetin. This antioxidant prevents LDL (bad) cholesterol
buildup on arterial walls that can block blood
flow and cause heart attacks and
strokes.
Studies also show that eating
grapes can offer strong defense against cancer
because of the quercetin and other flavenoids in
grapes and their skin. Red grapes are a great
defense against macular degeneration because of
the presence of carotenoids lutein and
zeaxanthin.
Be aware that bottled grape juice
is a pasteurized juice that has been boiled,
killing many live enzymes and phytochemicals.
Fresh grape juice can be a nice addition to a
healthy diet, except limit your juice to small
quantities because of the
high natural sugar content. We recommend the
Green Star
Juicer. What a treat!
One more thing. Raisins are grapes
that have been sun dried. They are still rich in
nutrition and the dehydration has concentrated
their power. Raisins are a great addition to
salads along with raw nuts and seeds. Just be sure
to use organic raisins because the commercial
brands are sprayed and the spray will remain on
the raisins. Good
eating! |

Be Prepared for Disasters (Repeated
from last Issue) |
Hurricane
Katrina taught us many lessons, one of which is that we should be prepared for
disasters. Of course we can't be totally prepared, but it's just common sense
to make plans for those times when communication, food, water, and health care
could become unavailable. Here are some suggestions and some of our products
that would be a good addition to your survival list. The Office of Homeland
Security says that we all should provide for four primary areas including
1.fresh water, 2.food, 3.clean air, and 4.warmth. A basic emergency supply kit
should contain:Pure Water: We recommend
Waterwise Distillers to
provide pure water for drinking and cooling in case the water supply is
interrupted. We also have EcoQuest water filters which provide pure water on
demand. Store enough water for several days for you and your family.
Non-perishable food for three days: Our
Excalibur Dehydrator can
provide enzyme-rich dehydrated foods that can be stored for months. BarleyMax,
CarrotJuiceMax, and
BeetMax from Hallelujah Acres can provide whole food
dehydrated supplements to add to the nutrient-lacking canned foods in your emergency
pantry. We love the Living Food Survival bars, which are actually
meal-replacement bars, from Hallelujah Acres.
Hand-Cranked radios are great to have on hand as are extra
batteries for other lights and electrical devices.
A First Aid Kit is a must: We also recommend Hallelujah
Acres supplements (please use our Pin, ACO when ordering) and herbal personal care items that can help treat injuries or
illness. B12-Flax-D can meet the need for a lack of sunshine, exercise and fiber. The ABC Liniment, Tee Tree Oil, and natural soaps
are also good additions from H.A.
A Dust Mask: EcoQuest has a wonderful little device
that can guarantee a clean germfree area within 3 feet of the facial area with
the Fresh Air Buddy. The Buddy hangs around the neck and offers protection from
dust, odors, viruses, bacteria, and other contaminants. It is battery powered
and will last for 50 hours. A recharger kit is available also. Of course, we
love our Fresh Air, which eliminates smoke, odors, and up to 99.9% of mold and
bacteria on surfaces.
Check out the www.ready.gov
site online for more suggestions on how to be prepared for unexpected
emergencies. It could save your life or the lives of your loved ones. Call us for prices and ordering of any of our products that could help
you to be prepared. Call toll free 877-200-0862 now.
